Fortunately it didn't last too long this weekend - after a glorious round of golf with the visiting Yoder bros and Keith, Margot and the kids joined us for lunch and Evelyn crawled into her solitary hole. Headed on to the Cape to spend a solo night at Amy & Bouke's - where I hate to say it again, but it's just a lot more relaxing without all the cousins around..but obviously less fun. A little beach action that evening, followed by a.m. rock-hopping walk, bikes/scooters and a tandem kayak gooey-fish/crab hunt with 1st-Mate Evie in a race against the tidal currents. Then a stroll down in Falmouth and lunch before hitting the park to meet - Little Ms Farrow! Whether they remembered each other or were just entranced by cuteness, they hit it off pretty quickly. And thank goodness, because we had to spend the whole rest of the day hanging with the entire Yode Clan. Some nice cat harassment, Koob, wiggling to the oldies, getting to meet some new people (Dan's still-cooking -to-impress fiancee Claire, Teri's bump) and she was totally cool with everyone! And of course little H was his usual chill self - doing 'cute baby' head flops on-command..
Unfortunately it was to be a one-night stand - but totally worth the effort to completely disconnect on the Cape for a day..
