Lukas-centric

One whole week since the Baby-Whisperer Hendrik walked into our room at 3:30am and set things in motion a few days early. 4:30 after not getting back to sleep, Margot tells me we should probably get a move on. 5:30 we're at MGH and by 6:30 we'd found out that the Tie-Break goes to the Boys in this Schomp household (as they have in most..) just 12 hrs after Margot posted her first belly shot.

Hard to imagine what would have transpired if this happened while daddy was at work or during a rush hour - we might have had one of those in-car delivery cell phone videos going viral.
But we thank our lucky stars that Gramma had arrived just a couple days earlier and got on the kids good side to allow for our pre-dawn getaway - and Super thankful that she talked Evelyn down after the crushing realization that she would not in-fact ever have a baby sister (yes, in FACT). Hendrik didn't seem to care much one way or the other (or at all in actuality) but has since warmed up quite nicely to the concept of being a big Bro.

We've spent the last days happily getting re-acclimated to Infant Life - like riding a bike, skinned knees and all. But we couldn't be more grateful for all of our good fortune and so far it truly does seem that three might be the magic number for us (stretching our cars and house to capacity as-is!). Thanks to all for the love and support - and Happy 63rd Gramma!
Lukas with his Lid Off (thanks Yode)
