Blood tests revealed that Evelyn is in-fact allergic to the cats - so they can sense that their days are numbered. Jamie sent us this little reminder that the girls do actually serve a purpose - insinuating that we may just become over-ridden with mice if we go ahead and pull the trigger.
Evelyn got bangs this week. It's funny how different she looks when you've been used to that hair in her eyes for so long, but I guess she does look more like a cute little girl now. (yes I saved the hair - viewable upon request when you come visit)
In other exciting news - Jeff and Meghann just welcomed in the first male member of the Class of 2030 Illini sorority on Friday. Finnegan James Talbot is going to have to earn our trust before hanging out with the flock of girls, but he's got 18 years or so to get his act together. And he's joining a set of triplet cousins born earlier in the week - congratulations guys!
Other press-worthy news: Gramma Schomp came up again and let Margot and I off the hook so we could go on our first post-baby date! We were like teenagers cruising up to the Revere Showcase in the GTI on a Friday night with the new Jordin Sparks jam cranking out the windows. Our year-old free passes hadn't expired (or wilted away) and the Dark Knight was pretty awesome - even if we didn't wait to see it in IMAX. And the theater put in a new HD TV lounge area so all the guys were delaying heading into the movie before the Sox won in 12 innings to begin the post-Manny era. Brief note - yeah it sucks to part ways, but I had a moment of clarity when pre-analyzing the potential move on Thursday. I argued with a co-worker that Jason Bay was a lot younger - but then checking his bio I inadvertently commented that 'oh he's not young any more'. That was just a micro-second before realizing that he too is nearing his 30th birthday - and the fact that we're an identical height and weight kind of drove home the fact that we're about to turn the corner here. I guess I was pleased to hear the co-worker then tell me that Bay was just entering his prime...
