2nds - Yes Seconds, as in Second Helpings

It was quite the old-time Thanksgiving Day Bash in Jamestown with over 20 people if you count the yet-to-be-born. The Smiths played gracious host to the Sterns, Schomps, Galoobs, Wigtons and Salazars and came out unscathed despite a malfunctioning dishwasher.

We zipped down from Boston early and got there in time to watch Dave submerge the first turkey in the hot peanut oil bath - check out the pictures. After turkey2, we started messing around with the fry-o-lator throwing whatever we could in the bubbling cauldron. Made some decent cajun-batter fried pickles - the olives, gherkins and hot peppers were somewhat debatable.

Some big news once seated down for dinner - Phalen is going to be a big brother! Marianne and Dave surprised everyone (including Michael and Helen) with the announcement that #2 is expected to arrive in early July - keep 'em coming folks!

Helen and Marianne snuck out early the next morning (like 3ish) for their now-annual Black Friday trek and even made it back before Michael and I headed out to play 9. He beat me on this nice cold day and then proceeded to talk to everyone he bumped into on the island as we did some errands - by the way that's his truck he sold to the Dan in Real Life crew as they filmed on Jamestown. Yeah I haven't seen it either

Met up with Nick and Kasey Friday night for our first rendezvous since Mt Cardigan back when. Margot finally got her first taste of Federal Hill in Providence and surprisingly none of us got whacked all night! Hung out with the Smiths/Sterns in Malden Saturday night, and then went to Winchester Sunday night to help clear out the rest of all the Noordzij leftovers. Patriots finally got tested tonight and now I'm proving to Margot that I don't fall asleep on the couch every night by signing off ... now
