Hooray - good defense Dad! Unfortunately it didn't last too long before Evelyn got to it and slobbered all over the nice cold 'Gansett.
We had a real nice 1st Father's Day - after a blueberry pancake breakfast and some gift books and a personalized bowl from Evie in the morning, we piled into the car and headed down to Mikey and Becky's in Peace Dale where Ben, Jenny and the kids are gonna be parking the RV Cousin Eddy-style for a few weeks. They were all there along with Michael & Helen, Neil & Patsy, Nick V and Mike Pao - and Evelyn got to hang out with her cousins Charlie and Elsie, and Ellen and Lily, and also Zola and Hannah - whew, too many little girls!
When Evie was thoroughly zonked, we zipped back up to Boston in time to see the last couple holes of the Open followed immediately by Game 5 of The Finals while Margot fed me nachos and beers. Pretty exciting stuff - and even though Tiger and Kobe both choked up big leads early on - they lived to fight another day, completely ruining my day. Not really actually - it justs sets them both up for even greater, soul-crushing falls to come. Almost makes you feel bad - because they're Dad's too
