Silly Babies

Silly, silly girls. We had a major breakthrough this week- Jamie spent the night outside, and when it got too stormy and windy she miraculously transported onto the porch roof so that she could cry at us through the window. How she a) got on the roof and b) knew to get on the roof because we were right inside at 4am has completely dumbfounded us and overshadowed everything Evelyn has done to date. It's really going to take something special to top that in our book..
But she is starting to chow down on a bunch of different baby food/mush - it's pretty fun to feed her, but I know her baby gums are just craving some hard pretzels to maw on. So this also means she now has more humanoid feces, but that's cool. She seems to be holding and playing with stuff a lot more - although she prefers to pop her foot in her mouth when the opportunity presents itself. I can't really blame her - those baby toes are too damn cute!
We just saw 1st hand that cousin Gigi is already sitting up on her own, so we've gotta get cracking on that - but Evie has been able to execute the higher-degree-of-difficulty back-to-front roll a few times. I haven't actually seen her do it yet, but I'm just surmising that she prefers to do it somersault style.. But in the biggest news of all - we're happy to announce that Evelyn's chubby-leg fat-folds now have their very own folds of their own! We're so proud!

me too Nate -you are putting us all to shame! I keep saying Im going to put up a blog to show my Mexico experience pix on one site instead of trying to send out specific pix to various indiv. (and hardly getting around to do that! ) Maybe when Im there I can work on that (with some pointers from you) My pix aren't as cute as darling Evelyn but it will help me keep a better journal and more regular contact - As for Jamie -gosh I miss my Polly and my "Cat Tales" - I have started a "kitty "collection for Evelyn cause you are the Kitty-Cat Family! Margot -your haircut looks darling and I love your necklace! Did you get your "Mother's bracelette in time for Mother's Day? Can't wait to see all of you -love, Mom/Gramma
