How do you like them apples?
Pretty good I guess - had better..
It was a little warm for mid-October today - I usually prefer my apple picking to be a bit crisper, but otherwise a glorious autumn day at Brooksby Farm up in Peabody. Evelyn was pretty effective at 'sampling' for us and provided some extra reach and extra hands in the hiking back-pack. We got some cider and cider doughnuts at the country store, but we picked so many types we'll have a tough time figuring out which ones to use in the streudels, pies and crisp. We also got to pick our pumpkin from the patch and visit with some sheep, goat, lama and emus - but declined to go for the hayride or stuff a scarecrow. Don't want too much excitement for one day - it'd spoil daddy.
In developmental news: we have confirmed clapping. Not accidental/incidental hand/palm contact, but deliberate noise-producing clapping in-time to music or in celebration of delicious cheesy macaroni - yee-haw!
