Uh-oh, here we go...

At this rate, Evelyn's brain will be fully microwaved by age 6. If you've ever wondered why my phone is often unavailable, Ms Evie loves to chew on my SLVR and mess around with the buttons. However, Saturday in the backyard I was trying to grab some leaf-peeping pictures, but she kept coming for the camera - so I used the phone as pacifier bait to keep her occupied. Instead of immediately plunking it in her mouth as per the norm, she threw it right up to her ear and said 'Aya' and started gabbing - yikes. Margot said she did the same thing the previous day with her RAZR while I was down at Ft Knox, and then this morning she answered the mouse. Can I start stock-piling our roll-over minutes already? Enjoy Evie's first online video!

Evelyn experienced her first Head of the Charles today - it was a chilly, blustery autumn day and we took the T downtown so we could maneuver around, but they were working on the Orange Line tracks in Malden - so Evelyn got her first bus rides too! Not the smoothest overall way to get from A to B, but she made new friends every step along the way - it really is pretty ridiculous how friendly and disarming she is in these public settings. And she was in rare form once we got home too - didn't want to go to bed, way too much energy even though she popped out of bed before 6am and only had one measly nap all day. She went on a tear pulling every toy out and just being a total kook. This could be the start of some new phase here - but maybe she won't already be in bed every night when daddy gets home from work!
