Finally!

How 'bout that snow! After Boston's Friday snow-storm commuting disaster last year, everyone stayed off the roads and made Daddy's drive a delight - and I got home early for some bonus play-time before Evelyn had to hit the hay. Sandwiched between separate trips to Logan before dawn and late at night on Saturday (ahh the glories of living within minutes of an airport) we finally got to try out that Flexible Flyer Sleigh Gramma sent! It was rough goings at first as the runners sank into the ten inches of powder, but we snow-shoed a little track around the yard and got the hang of it building up some serious speed! Well, Evelyn thought it was pretty fast - 15 degree wind on your little face will do that I guess..

Helen and Marianne came up later on with Phalen and Finn as Dave would be flying into Boston that evening - so we hung out at home where Evelyn was again inspired by an older cousin and travelled upright unsupported her greatest distance yet (although the term baby-steps could've been coined just for her). Then we finally got to go to ZooLights at nearby Stone Zoo - complete with reindeer sightings! One was out and about, and another had his head buried in a feed-trough obscuring his nose - so we cannot confirm that it definitely was not Rudolph.

So another week and another new baby! Jenny's sister Linda and Bill finally welcomed baby Josephine into the world down in Charleston - 12 days later than expected - congratulations!

And, oh yeah - Go Pats!

UPDATE: Scratch that romanticized snow crap. It's fine when it's the first nice powder of the season - but this 32 degree wet snow layered with sleet and melting slush and refrozen ice is less than ideal.

And, oh yeah - thank you Seattle, now hopefully Mangina learns how to coach before next week

Its trudy, wow, you had lots of fun in the snow with daddy. When I played in the snow, I couldn't figure out how to move in it, so I just stood there :)
