Birthday Baby!

Yes it's a little premature - but we couldn't contain our excitement when we got this early present from Gramma in the mail. A sweet Flexible Flyer sled(/sleigh?) that Evelyn can't get enough of even just sitting in the Living Room - now bring on the snow!

We got to play at Cousin Gigi's Saturday and learned that she first walked two days before her birthday on Friday, so Sunday must be the day for Evie! We'll keep you posted..

It was snowing for the first time this morning that Evelyn is cognizant of (it snowed pretty much every other day after she was born if I remember properly) so we went out in our PJ's at day-break to catch some in our hands. Fortunately I did the final pre-winter cleanup outside yesterday and got the Winter Wonderland all set up (white-trash reindeer) - so we're ready for the white stuff.

Now the big question is what to do about a Christmas Tree - we've got all these great ornaments, but we have this feeling that Evie will be even worse than Jamie was last year, and we'd frown upon resorting to squirting the baby girl with a water bottle or swatting her with newspaper when she doesn't take NO for an answer. We've got a ton of boughs of holly from the wildly out-of-control bush out back and a lot of pine branches too - so maybe we'll just create a nice out-of-reach Holiday Altar. Lame-o?
