Wow, wow Wubzy! Summer going quick! And Evelyn's already got her back-to-school gear - see clip:
Obviously it's a little big - but she's not going to any school anytime soon so what the heck. It's not Dora's (Doda) but she loves it all the same and 'backpack' has probably become Evelyn's longest if not cutest word.
Not much new to report, although Evie had her furthest Northern exposure to date yet this weekend - to the base of Mt Cardigan up in New Hampshire! Yes that is the very same mountain that Evelyn spent a few hrs on En Utero two yrs ago when we were mis-directed up there with Nick and Kasey, and precipitated the Tempurpedic purchase! But no - we didn't attempt a summit with Margot in an even further advanced pregnancy state this time, but were content to stay at 'ground' level. Our old friend Elaina Barton has 100 acres of bear infested woods with a clear shot to Ol' Baldy and a house/installation serving as a Testament to off-grid self-sustainability - wind, solar, hydro-forthcoming and maybe a fuel cell application some day. Nice party (even though we didn't camp out like the rest of the revelers), neat place and great to see an old friend (and her parents! but no Rob this time).
We made it back home and were treated to an impromptu visit by Keith and Dulari - Sleepover! It'd been way too many months (enough to nearly grow a baby to full term), but Evelyn didn't seem to miss a beat when she awoke to find them crashing at her pad (well when they awoke - we'd been up for hrs). Good times reacquainting ourselves and a great opportunity for Evelyn to ham it up and put on a show highlighting all her new special skills!
Other than that - pretty low-key, laid back weekend. Just what the Dr ordered..
