Well this last week of 007 has been all about the cousins! If you haven't checked out the Picassa album - there's some shots of Evelyn meeting cousin Giselle on Christmas Day - can you tell who's who? Then Uncle Bouke brought Sydney over for a visit on Thursday and Jake, Maarten and Renee stopped by on Friday! Elsie and Charlie made the trip up on Saturday on the train to meet their one and only cousin Evie (so far) and then we got word last night that cousin Becky and Mikey had their 2nd baby girl last night down at South County Hospital! Lily Ann (or Lilly Anne? don't know how letter-efficient they are yet) was born at 7lbs 11oz just 2hrs after they were admitted making a big sister out of cousin Ellen. Such a good girl already - already helping out with the taxes!
In Evelyn Development News (EDN) - I'm proud to say that she's learning to talk already! She alternates between channeling the Devil and Dolphins with some unworldly guttural noises and ultra-sonic high-pitched squealing. She feels like she has to keep in constant communication to let us know exactly what her bowels are doing at any given time - no discretion young lady!
I'm also proud to announce that all the neck crunches we've been putting her through are paying off - she amazingly seems able to fully support her own head weight so we don't have to worry about it toppling off much anymore!
We're headed over to Oma and Opa's this evening for Olieboelin and Apelfloppen - Dutch New Years treats. Hopefully I'll be able to head out after that to see Brother Ben playing with Badfish at the Middle East New Yrs Eve bash in Cambridge. Then if we're feeling mobile we could make our first trek down to Jamestown for a New Yrs Day Open House at Helen and Michaels to see everyone in RI, or just stay local and watch the Illini-USC Rose Bowl and prepare for Daddy to finally get back to work the next day.
'007 has been good to us with a decent amount of babies but we're making a resolution in '08 to get lots more! HAPPY NEW YEARS
