At cousin Renee's 10th birthday party last Sunday, Evelyn was apparently inspired by cousin Sydney running circles around her and stood completely on her own for a half-minute! I'm not lying - Oma is a corroborating witness. And then when cousin Gigi made her grand appearance in those green suede Adidas sneakers, I think Evie became a little jealous of her guided-walking skills (but who wouldn't want to go for a stroll in those kicks...)
So Momma got a little push cart at Ikea (along with a sweet tunnel) and the chica has gotten pretty good at walking/pushing it around (on carpet at least - wood is a little too fast for her feet). What else.. ahh - Evelyn has applied her reverse-stair descent technique to getting off the couch, and the bed also - which is a little more startling with the one-foot repel down the side before touch-down. So - the race is on before we're fully-mobile! We're setting the under-over for full-fledged walking on her birthday in 16 days. Any takers?
