Is the Honeymoon Over?

Hardly. Far from it actually - but the little tyke has shown some signs of coming out of his Eat & Sleep Stupor. We like that he now opens his eyes occasionally, but does he have to be so loud about it? Looks like the long nights are just beginning as he works out his digestive issues - and we've already seen each Ken Burns National Parks episode three times each, so we might have a problem there. Fortunately playoff baseball on the west coast is coming soon to help soothe those late night tantrums..

But Hendrik has got a week under his little belt today, and fortunately Opa arrived back from Holland and got to visit today before he turned 1! Little H didn't seem too thrilled, but Evelyn was ecstatic to see her grandfather after sailing around the Baltic Sea up and around Sweden all summer - Opa, Opa, Opa!

Quite a few other Noordzijs got to meet the streak-breaker (5 girls cousins in a row) at our house this afternoon, and of course the Patriots are now 1-0 in Hendrik's lifetime - he brought the Brady-Moss connection back!
