Opa earned some serious points over the last few days - spearheading the lingering project of rehabbing Hendrik's walls for us. There were cracks and gouges in the 120 yr-old horse-hair plaster and the weight of about 5 layers of paint and wallpaper was sagging in some areas - so we were at a standstill trying to decide the best course of action. But he came in and worked his magic - earning his spot alongside the rest of the Dutch Masters. The walls look good as new; however we couldn't decide on the ideal boys-room color palette and decided to just go with Evelyn's pale yellow - so the kids can flip back and forth with gender neutrality. So that's a big check off the list, although we're not setting the room up for H quite yet. Got a few months before we'll really need it so we're keeping the guest bed set up. That means come visit!
