Cabbage Patch

To Margot's dismay, she must acknowledge once a year that there is a trace amount of Irish blood coursing through Evelyn's veins and that she's not a full-blooded Dutch Girl, so we threw on some Celtic music and danced a jig while mommy was out tutoring. And of course some corned beef and cabbage was in order, but Evie insisted on wearing the outer leaves as a hat - our own little Cabbage Patch Kid!

Short post this week because daddy is exhausted, but for all those who were concerned - we survived the Equinox Trek up icy, snowy, windy Mt Washington on Saturday. Despite some technical difficulties, our mountaineering guide Cousin Mikey, steady inspiration Neil Miguel and spiritual Guru TJ got out-of-shape Nate begrudgingly to the Summit - and the view almost made all the suffering and soreness worth it! We were the last party of the day able to make it up and we didn't make it down to JJ's outpost until the bonfire was reduced to some glowing embers - but after a good nights slumber, we topped the journey off by shooting shotguns and rifles on Sunday with our New Hampshire Militia brethren - Live Free or Die Trying!

And best of all - we made it back home to catch Evelyn before bed !
