After a fun (and only slightly hung-over) morning, it looked like the weather cleared up so they could all head into the city and follow the red-brick road to celebrate liberty (Freedom Trail), but unfortunately we couldn't join in on the festivities as we went to a 2nd brunch and then Margot had a tutoring session.
Our Haitian neighbor graduated today though - quite an accomplishment for him and the family, so they had a backyard party and Evie and I were transported to the islands for a few hours - bopping around to the tropical beats!
Overal, Evelyn and I had a real nice re-bonding weekend after daddy had been traveling all week. I was working at the Defense Logistics Agency (Harrisburg, PA!) where we have 20 fuel cell forklifts in operation alongside 20 of our competitors. It was pretty gratifying to see all of them outperforming their battery-powered counterparts doing real-world work mobilizing combat deployments - this in the aftermath of our new Harvard-'educated' Secretary of Energy single-handedly determining that hydrogen doesn't have any near-term future in our energy mix.
Anyway, even a few days away from the girls is too many - and it always amazes me how much differences you pick up on when you get back. She's got a couple more words of course (or her interpretation of them), but with non-verbal facial contortions, hand gestures and body language - it seems like Evelyn has gotten way more expressive in just a few days!

Those Galoob girls are adorable!
Ok, Gramma, saw your comments on previous post. But sorry, my blogger days will never get Nate-level. I've only just begun to have internet on a regular basis again!
Rock on, Hydrogen!
