The girls trading Cheerios back and forth - how adorably precious!
Check out the latest pics on the Spring Fling album over to the right to see our newest little jockey-ette riding the General at the Kentucky Derby - 'Neigh, neigh' says Evelyn! She got so excited galloping around the house that she decided to dump some of daddy's julep all over herself. I guess there's worse things she could have done with it - but nothing a fun bath wouldn't take care of in short order.

Then cousin Gigi showed up later Saturday evening just as Evelyn thought she was heading off to sleepy-land (she says 'nigh-night' now when bedtime approaches - pretty handy I'd say). The incredulous look on her face when visitors came up into her room was priceless, but she quickly warmed up and got her second wind to entertain her guests! The girls probably could have gone all night long, but Uncle Duco made them leave at half-time of the C's game (and where was all the trash-talk from my Chi-Town buddies over the last two weeks?)

Evelyn got a chance to ham it up even more when Oma and Opa came over Sunday evening for dinner and a visit. The girl knows how to put on a show - that's for sure. Dancing, singing, running around being the social butterfly that she is - we're talking Triple-Threat Plus Talent here folks!

But the news of the week is that Evie will have to learn to share this spotlight with a little brother! The Ultra-Sound Lab Technician informed us by circling the kids' package and proclaiming 'you're all done' to imply that we don't need to keep on popping out kids to finally get the Heir to the Throne. And although we're not saying we'll be stopping at two, it's true that we'd have a bit more impetus to keep 'em coming if the baby had turned out to be another girl, as sweet as she would have been..

So I guess that's a financial benefit there, but I can't get out of my head how much pink Evelyn has amassed over the last year and a half that could go to absolute waste. How inefficient to have different gender babies.. So I've got two potential plans - invest in dye is one. The other is to find another couple that had a boy first, and is now expecting a girl when our little guy is due to arrive. Then we trade and raise each others kids until they start buying their own clothes - hard to argue with that logic.

And for those who've been worried sick - the majority of the Schomp-clan spending their time south of the border so far - are not sick. Jake and Michelle remain in the HotZone with Moms, I just got word that Marian got back to Los Estados hoy and Jenny, Elsie, Charlie all arrived last week and have shown no signs of the SwIneFluenza through the normal incubation period - and can now be removed from quarantine.
But they did however, arrive back to some very sad news. Beloved Bowser had passed on to Doggy Heaven just the night before. I've never been much of a dog person, but it was hard not to love the little waddling/singing buddy when he hopped up into your lap. Such a good friend - we'll mourn the loss of this special member of the family.

Thank you for the shout-out to daBowsa.
(by the way, as I'm scrolling through all the blog I've been missing, Charlie keeps saying "please please go back to the penis, go back go back go back" He's quite out of his mind about his baby boy cousin!)

Also over & over again: "I wonder what Evelyn's brudder is going to be named mommy"
