Free Ride

Not a bad place to hitch a ride - everyone clears right out of the way for you, but a little scary when they blast those horns!

Evelyn and her pals from the Munchkin Group (Zoe and Noah pictured riding shotgun) got a tour of the firehouse on the 11th; can't imagine who had more fun - the kids or the firemen! The experience was completed when a call came in, with Evie saying 'uh-oh' non-stop as they mobilized..

Mommy had another checkup and everything's still looking good, and Daddy got his last round of golf in with Keith, Manne and Jacky - it's been fun guys.. Evelyn went to Chloe's 3rd bday party to see how the big girls do it, but other than that we've had a lot of at-home time getting things all set up for the arrival.
Speaking of which - Oma arrived today! After taking the summer off, we're going to get her right back into the swing of things watching Little-E for a few hrs Monday - we're excited!

Ooh - we scored a free turtle-sandbox on the side of the road and Margot got everybody in Lowe's to help her load sand into the car - enjoy the treatment while you can!
Hoping to score quite a few more late summer days in the yard, which is the greenest it's ever been this late in the year. Evelyn has polished off all the remaining grapes on the vine (seeds and all) - but we have to share with all the huge spiders and their corresponding massive webs everywhere. Pretty stellar, albeit a little annoying - although we'll take it if they continue to keep the bug count so low!
