- just a doll. Well not just any doll, but an anatomically correct baby boy doll from Mexico that came up with Grandma alongside the little crib. Evelyn cannot practice any more than she has - she is so totally ready to put her forthcoming little baby brother to bed!
Due date is this week, but we already feel like the little tyke is late because of Evie's full week-early arrival - so she's 1-upped him there. Our little girl is probably the best-prepared out of all of us however, but that doesn't mean we're not eager to meet our son soon - we're just planning on everything falling together when he happens to join us.
Until then - we had another nice weekend with some brisk, crisp bright September days perfect for taking it easy (certainly not painting a room or sealing a driveway) - and we took full advantage of Oma's recent return. She sat for us for our last night out downtown on Saturday at the Rustic Kitchen with the un-tethered mommies group parents - and then the Sunday Noordzij get-togethers were reinstated after the Summer hiatus. Great fun with all the cousins topped off with a tri-generational Johnny Cash dance party hoe-down with Evelyn leading the way! Oh man - she is going to wipe her little brother out in no-time flat in the not-too-distant future. Wish us good fortune and stay tuned..
