Margot had one last meal request before our Family of Three became an unmanageable Foursome - Sonic. But weeks after the 1st local opened up there were still lines around the block, so settling for Fuddruckers it was. Did the job though - forced the kid out quick!
Contractions started up at 7:00 and got back home around 7:15. Evelyn bathed and in bed by 8:30, called Oma at 9:00 and she arrived at 9:30. We're out the door at 9:45 and arriving at MGH at 10:00 on the dot (following Roger Cook of AskTOH through parking garage and the main doors). Triage'd and moved along to the delivery room by 10:15 and boom - baby less than half an hour later in a room with a view over the Garden and Bunker Hill Monument in the background.
Everybody is doing great, the kid is already eating - but they say there must be something in the air as the delivery ward is overflowing. So Momma and baby share a room with another, and Daddy and new best-friend new-dad Jeff are bunking up in the visitors lobby for the night.
